Join Stage Directions over Summer 2023 for 5 days of theatre making, creativity and fun.
Working alongside The Knotted Project young people from Salford will be co-creating a brand new show to be performed on stage at New Adelphi Theatre to a family audience. Over the week we will be creating new characters, developing our performance skills and growing in confidence when it comes to theatre making. The week is open to young people living or attending school in Salford aged 8-16. No matter where you are on your creative journey, Stage Directions Summer Show will be a wonderful few days meeting new people, trying something new and getting involved in making an original new show for Salford Families. No experience necessary! |
Aged 14-18? Join our Back Stage Ensemble!
Are you interested in how a show works behind the scenes? The Summer Show will have a full Off Stage team dedicated to making it sound and look amazing. This includes lighting, sound design, stage management, and more! No experience necessary! What to expect
Sessions will run 10:30-4.15pm daily, unless stated otherwise, at New Adelphi Theatre, University of Salford, M5 4BR on:
Monday 14/08/23
Tuesday 15/08/23
Wednesday 16/08/23
Thursday 17/08/23
Friday 18/08/23
Young people will be working in groups according to age throughout the week. They will have a consistent team of professional artists working with them daily to guide them though the creative process, enjoy some games and make something brand new together whilst learning new skills!
Groups will work together to develop a section of the show throughout the week. This will be rehearsed and go towards the final show at the end of week.
Lunch will be provided each day and support with travel can be arranged if needed for any young person wishing to attend.
We would love everyone taking part to be there for the full five days, so please keep this in mind when signing up!
The final performance will happen on Friday 18/08/23. More details on this to follow soon!
